About the Author

about-barbBarbara B. Appelbaum, ACC, MBA, MAT, wellness coach, consultant, speaker, published author, and founder of Appelbaum Wellness LLC has dedicated her life to assisting motivated Baby Boomers stave off age-related diseases as they grow older. She does this by helping them wake up to living their lives, seeing clearly what they want, and thereby achieving optimal wellness. She practices an integrative approach to health and wellness in which she explores how all areas of your life – mind, body, and spirit – are connected, and examines how they fit together and affect your overall well-being.

As a seasoned professional with over 26-years’ experience, half of which were in the healthcare sector, Barbara authentically walks-the-talk every day. After being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in June 2006, her life changed forever. This “gift” made her realize the importance of waking up to actually living her life, learning the value of being her own advocate, and helping others do the same.

Barbara is deeply committed to helping you learn to be proactive in your healthcare versus reactionary in your sick care, so you can feel great in your body and in your life. Her greatest wish is to never hear a person say, “I should be taking better care of myself.”

Barbara is a certified member of the International Coach Federation (ICF), International Association for Health Coaches, American Association of Drugless Practitioners (AADP), and an Ambassador for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society Greater Illinois Chapter. She also guest lectures at Canyon Ranch in Tucson, Arizona.
